The Academy Awards, also known as The Oscars, is an annual award celebration for cinematic excellence and achievements. Started out as private brunch among a small group of 250 artists, directors, and personalities in the film industry during the late 20's, has now become a popular televised hit showcasing not only awards winners but also humorous monologues by famous comedians and/or actors, high profile singer's performance, and best dressed celebrities.
